Renowned popstar, Harry Styles, caused a fan uproar when announcing his plan to hit the road again to continue the tour of his second solo album, “Fine Line.” Styles and his band, not One Direction unfortunately, are scheduled to play 37 concerts across 24 countries in 2022-2023. This will be Styles’ third tour following Live on Tour and the American leg of Love on Tour.
“Going to his concert was amazing and I’m excited for people to have the same experience. I’m also looking forward to getting new tour photos and content,” said junior Alexys Ibarra.
The tour for Fine Line was originally supposed to be a global tour and take place in April of 2020, but due to COVID-19 it was postponed until Sept. of 2021. Although, even then he only performed at American venues leaving international fans disappointed. Fortunately for them this upcoming leg of the tour will be performed throughout European and Latin American countries, with opening acts such as Mitski, Wolf Alice, Arlo Parks, and Koffee.
“Love on Tour was an amazing experience and Harry was so nice and fun to the crowd. It went above and beyond what I had imagined,” said senior Aisha Colak.
Styles is also set to headline Coachella in Indio, California on April 15 and April 22. Upon this news being released fans online have speculated a potential album release as his latest music drop was from Dec. of 2019. There have been theories that it will be a soft rock album mirroring some of his songs such as ‘Only Angel’ and ‘Kiwi.’
“Knowing that his sophomore album, ‘Fine Line,’ was released in 2019, I suspect he will release HS3 some time this year. I wouldn’t mind if his new music was different than his usual sound, he somehow makes it work,” said senior Alexandra Delgado.
With upcoming performances, movies, and a new cosmetic line Styles is on his way to dominating the entertainment industry. As the first artist to receive the Gold Ticket award in the 21st century for selling out Madison Square Garden 5 times, to selling out the largest sports venue in the UK, he is not slowing down anytime soon and fans are ecstatic to see what’s to come.
“I have been a fan of Harry since he was in One Direction, so it’s nice being able to watch him grow as an artist and achieve these major accomplishments,” said junior Kayla Gonzalez.
