10 Things I Hate About You has been one of the most popular romance movies that people love.

Rom-coms are more than the classic girl meets boy and then they fall in love. There is a story behind each character. The best romance movies still give a message while making you feel giddy. It is the perfect thing to watch with your friends during the summer time. Here is what people around Mission Hills say about their favorite rom-coms.

Although it might not seem like a traditional rom-com, Love, Simon is about a teenage boy who struggles with his identity and sees another anonymous classmate post online that he is closeted in his sexuality. Simon reaches out and says that he is just like him. They email back and forth sympathizing about how hard it is to be gay at school. People can find this movie on Prime Video or Hulu.
“The Proposal is one of the funniest and cutest rom-coms,” freshman Talia Roberts said.
Another movie that was mentioned was The Proposal, starring Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock. The movie is about an assertive boss who is threatened to get deported to Canada. She forces her assistant, Andrew, to pretend to be engaged to stay in the States. However, they are forced to go to Alaska for a few days to celebrate Andrew’s grandma’s 90th birthday. After pretending to be in love during their time in Alaska, the lines start to blur between a work deal and something more. People can find The Proposal on Hulu.
