During “Super Bowl LVIII”, there were many movie trailers released but the most anticipated one was that of Deadpool 3. A short promotion was aired during the “Super Bowl,” Confirming the official title of the film: Deadpool & Wolverine and the whole trailer would be released online after the short trailer clip.
There has been a lot of hype surrounding this film for many reasons. This is going to be the first R-rated film made by Marvel Studios as well as Deadpool and Wolverine’s debut film in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). Clearly, Marvel Studios is confident in this film because it is their only theatrical film release of this year. The first trailer has officially broken the world record for the most viewed film trailer within 24 hours. It has an absolutely astounding 365 million views, per Disney. This “world” record was originally held by the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, which had 355 million views in 24 hours. Although this movie will be very rated R, students at MHHS are still pretty excited about the film. However, while most people are excited for the movie some don’t really have any confidence in its quality.
“I just don’t think that he’s very funny or cool at all. I have never really been interested in either movie so I doubt this one is gonna be any different,” freshman Dance Hanlon said.
This is just one of a few people though because most people are very excited for this potential world wide .
“I love Deadpool. He is just such a unique, cool, and funny character. I love the first two movies and I think the next one can only get better,” sophomore Andy Grauer said.
The film is about the multiverse so there will be a lot of cameos of characters from different movie universes or different actors playing a character portrayed by a different actor originally. The film is extremely exciting for many especially considering the views that the teaser trailer got alone. This seems to be the breath of fresh air Marvel fans have been needing.
