Boys Basketball

   The boy’s basketball team had two league games this week against El Camino and Carlsbad. On Wednesday, Jan. 25th, they lost an away game against El Camino by a score of 49-37. At home on Friday, Jan. 27th they also lost to powerhouse Carlsbad, by a close score of 63-51. Even though the boys lost both of their games, these close games show they can compete with the best teams in the league, as Carlsbad has a record of 20-4 so far this season. This upcoming week, the boys have a chance to bounce back and play two more league opponents, Torrey Pines and La Costa Canyon. On Wednesday, Feb. 1st at 7:00 p.m. the boys play Torrey Pines, while on Friday, Feb. 3rd, they play La Costa Canyon at 7:00 p.m. both being away games this upcoming week. Come out and support!

Girls Basketball

   The girl’s basketball team had three games this week, which were against El Camino, Cathedral Catholic, and Carlsbad. On Tuesday, Jan. 24th, the girls beat El Camino by a dominating blowout, 99-11. On Wednesday, Jan. 25th, the girls played Cathedral Catholic, which they beat by a score of 47-34, at home. Finally, the girls on Friday, Jan. 27th beat Carlsbad, 72-58. This upcoming week the girls have three away games, with the first being on Monday, Jan. 30th at 7:00 p.m. against San Marcos. Then on Tuesday, Jan. 31st at 7:00 p.m. against Westview. Finally, the girls on Friday, Feb. 2nd, play Del Norte at 5:30 p.m. Go support our girls!

Boys Soccer

   The boy’s soccer game had two games this week, which were against La Costa Canyon and Vista. The boys unfortunately lost both games. On Wednesday, Jan. 25th at home, they lost to La Costa Canyon two-zero, then lost to Vista two-zero, on Friday, Jan. 27th. This upcoming week the boys have two big home games, against El Camino and San Marcos. On Wednesday, Feb, 1st at 7:00 p.m. the boys play El Camino at home. Then, on Friday, Feb. 3rd, the boys play across-town rivals, San Marcos, at 7:00 p.m. at home, which also happens to be their Senior Night. Go Grizzlies, come support on Senior Night!

Girls Soccer

   The girl’s soccer team had three games this week, which were against Poway, Canyon Crest Academy, and San Marcos. On Tuesday, Jan. 24th, they played an away game at Poway and won with a score of two-one. Unfortunately, the girls would lose their next two games, the first being on Thursday, Jan. 26th at home against Canyon Crest Academy, by a score of one-zero. The second loss, was against San Marcos on Saturday, Jan. 28th at San Marcos, lost by a score of two-one. This upcoming week, the girls have two games, which are against Rancho Bernardo and Torrey Pines. On Tuesday, Jan. 31st, at home the girls will face Rancho Bernardo at 7:00 p.m., and then on Thursday, Feb. 2nd, they will be at Torrey Pines at 7:00 p.m. Come Support!

Girls Water Polo

   This week the girl’s water polo team had two games, in which they faced Torrey Pines and Mt. Carmel. On Tuesday, Jan. 24th the girls lost at home against Torrey Pines, 15-0. Then on Thursday, Jan. 26th, at home as well, lost to Mt. Carmel 20-7. This upcoming week the girls have two games, the first on Tuesday, Jan. 31st against town rivals San Marcos at home, at 5:00 p.m. Then, to end the girl’s season, they play at Escondido, at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3rd.
