Grizzlies Up By 28 Points In 4th Quarter Against Oceanside.

Mission Hills went to battle against their historic rivals, Oceanside High School. Coming off a close loss to Carlsbad, this year’s team is now two to three and looking to bounce back. This game is one of the more special games of the season, not only because it is the Homecoming game, but because Mission Hills could take a winning record in the historic match up. With the overall record between the two teams being eight to one, this puts a lot of pressure on this year’s team to go get the job done.
“It feels great knowing you help the team win. I just try to do whatever I can the best I can, and I know the guys around me are doing the same,” said senior Rohan Bedi.
This was a big win for the Grizzlies as not only did they get ahead in the record, they ended their three game losing streak and are still on track to stay undefeated for the second half of the season. The Grizzlies have a short preparation week as their game this week is away against Rancho Bernardo on Thursday Oct. 6. Mission Hills is looking to end the narrative that they can’t win on the road and now they have the opportunity to do so against Rancho Bernardo.
“This work week is extremely important to us since a road win is something we are all very eager to get. Everyday we need to come out ready to work and take advantage of every opportunity that is given to us,” said senior David Leyva, offensive lineman
This game for the Grizzlies will require the seniors to lead the team more than they ever have and will be a great test of the team’s ability to handle adversity. The team will use the big win against Oceanside to help boost them through the adversity and give them confidence in their ability to go and get another win.
“The Oceanside win really boosted our morale. Now we just have to show up and show out against Rancho Bernardo to get that away win we’ve worked so hard for,” said senior Fabian Enciso, safety and wide receiver.
The Grizzly football team will always make us proud and we, the Grizzly family, will continue to cheer them all from the stands. Lets go get another win this week! Go Grizzlies!
