Sports Recap: October 3, 2022
This is your weekly Mission Hills sport’s team recap.
Football
Last Friday, Sep.30 our football team played against Oceanside and won 34 to zero. Adding to their overall season record of three wins and three losses. This week they are playing against Rancho Bernardo on their turf at 7:15 p.m. this Thursday, Oct. 6. Lets cheer on our football team!
Girl’s Tennis
Girl’s tennis played against Valley Center last Thursday, Sep.29 and won 14 to four. They have two games this week; the first game is tomorrow Tuesday, Oct.4 against San Pasqual on their court at 3:30 p.m. The second match they have is this Thursday, Oct.6 against Escondido at 3:30 p.m. here on our court.
Girl’s Volleyball
Wednesday, Sep. 28 our girl’s volleyball team played against Escondido and lost three to one. Last Friday, Sep. 30 they also played against Mt. Carmel and lost three to zero. Adding to their overall season record of eight wins and 14 losses. This upcoming week they have two games; the first game is this Wednesday, Oct.5 against Fallbrook here on our court at 5:30 p.m. The second game they are playing is versus San Pasqual at 6:00 p.m. this Friday, Oct.7 on their court.
Field Hockey
Field hockey had two games last week: Monday, Sep.26 they played against Sage Creek and lost one to zero, in the same week on Wednesday, Sep.28 they played against Santana. Making their current season record zero wins, six losses, and one tie. Field hockey has one game this week versus Castle Park at 5:10 p.m. this Friday, Oct.7. Hope to see you there!
Cross Country
Friday, Sep.30 cross country met up for the Valley League Cluster meet one. Mission Hills scored second place in the men’s 3.05 miles with the score of 66. Our women’s varsity placed first in the 3.05 mile run and racked up 55 points. The next time they will be meeting is this Saturday, Oct.8 for the 40th Annual Asics Southern Cal Invitation at 8:00 a.m. at Guajome Park.
