There’s lots of controversy between the best sports brands, there are many different opinions. But are some better than others? Is Nike better than Adidas? Does Reebok have better quality than Puma? Is Lululemon overpriced? Some students and athletes have their favorite athletic brands and least favorite brands for sports, P.E., and comfort in general.
“Nike, Adidas, and Puma, big sporting brands, focusing on shoes, I prefer these brands because they have more options focusing on what I’m into and what I’m comfortable in,” said soccer and volleyball player freshman Alex Delgado said.
Durability and style are also important when it comes to athletic brands; no one wants to wear something “ugly” or not stylish or comfortable.
“I would probably [choose] Nike and Adidas because they make the most comfortable and durable stuff, they also look good,” says freshman Dera Okeke, MHHS basketball player.
Quality is extremely important when it comes to athletic brands and brands in general, the quality can contribute to performance when at practice, competing, in games or just to wear in general.
“Nike released some of the best basketball shoes ever and also has great gear for every other sport. New Balance also has great performance in everything they release, New Balance’s athletic wear is great for runners and has some of the best leggings I’ve ever worn,” says freshman, track & field and basketball athlete Anjali Ramisuar.
Many athletes enjoy comfort in athletic wear, not just style, looks, and flashiness and not just something to wear at games or practice.
“I’d say Nike because their brand can be so nice and comfortable to wear or use while competing or just to wear in public,” says freshman and boxer Caleb Johnson.
