“The WBA Grand Championships is the last one [championships] that you go to and it’s like the big one where everyone is coming from other places. This is the first year that we actually went to the WBA. We [were] actually competing in the most competitive divisions or classes which is 5A…The fact that we are competing at that level is crazy. [Usually] Competitions are a lot of hard-work. After you see the end result and you see your group and your team improving then it is all worth it. If you look at where we were last year to this year, our program has grown a lot. It’s bittersweet because you’re leaving [graduating] but it’s also a start to a new journey. It’s like another chapter. Mr. Tramm probably had the biggest impact on me. I am just super thankful to have had the opportunity to be a Mission Hills Drum Major and be a part of that history. Thank you to Mr. Coughlin, Mr. Hall, and Mr. Tramm for giving me that opportunity. If they didn’t see that potential in me I wouldn’t be here.”
