The Silvertip

Danya Rodriguez
Danya Rodriguez, a senior at Mission Hills High School, is currently the Features Editor for the Silvertip. She enjoys going to the farmers market, thrifting, making jewelry, and having picnics with friends in her leisure time. If she’s not at her local goodwill bin you can find her holed up in her room writing screenplays for her upcoming films. As someone who grew up seeing very few BIPOC representation in the film industry, Danya hopes to create films with diverse characters and storylines in order to help all kinds of people feel represented and seen. She is passionate about the pro-choice movement, Black lives matter, sustainability, feminism, and immigration. Danya strives to attend college on the East Coast and hopes to major in either film or fashion design as she discovers who she is.
