The Silvertip

Danya Rodriguez
As a junior, Danya Rodriguez works as a reporter and initially joined journalism to get out of her comfort zone. Filmmaking, one of her many hobbies, has allowed her to grow creatively as she explores how her experiences impact her view of the world around her. In her free time, she enjoys making art while listening to indie pop. If she had to choose, her favorite book would be The Death of Bees by Lisa O'Donnell since it explores the bond between sisters as they struggle to survive the world and themselves. Danya is currently interested in the climate crisis and how the lack of media representation can have an impact on how people of color view themselves growing up. In the future, she strives to attend college on the east coast and major in film or creative writing.
