Many seniors at Mission Hills are excited for and looking forward to the upcoming Disney Grad Night. The Disney Grad Night will be held at Disneyland and California Adventure in Anaheim on June 7, 2024. Anticipation is high; however, some students are concerned about the costs related to the trip.
“I’m pretty excited about it; I don’t get to go to Disneyland very often, but I am upset about the price,” said senior Giovanni Orosco.
The price to attend Disney Grad Night is $254, which includes the bus and ticket costs. According to the Disneyland Website, the cost for a normal park hopper ticket on June 7th is $234, so the Grad Night ticket is only $20 more than that.
According to the PTO website, students can donate money to help fund a ticket for another senior. This provides a viable option to students whose financial circumstances may not allow them to buy a ticket. Students can choose to donate in the sign-up form found on the PTO website.
“I’m pretty excited; I wanna go to Disney Grad Night and see the mouse,” said senior Wyatt Johnson.
The trip will be very enjoyable for students, as it lasts until 4 a.m. This means that seniors will have the park to themselves when it closes. Less people at the park means shorter line times and less crowds. Seniors from other high schools will be joining Mission Hills students, so the crowds will still be somewhat substantial. Students are required to go to the park on the buses, which are assigned on the sign up form.
“I will not be going; it’s too expensive,” said senior Bryen Hoops.
A typical trip to Disneyland is very expensive, as food is not included with the ticket. The food options at Disneyland are quite expensive, even reaching $30 for a single meal. Students will have to stay hydrated during the trip, and simple bottles of water cost up to $6. The cost may be expensive; however, this trip is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many students. Seniors can make the most of their time left and enjoy the wonderful trip.
All in all, the Disney Grad Night trip will be an unforgettable experience that many seniors will cherish.
