Sofie Perkins, Staff Writer
Hey! My name is Sofie Perkins and I'm one of the staff writers. As one of the newest students of Mission Hills High School, I came in freshman year hoping to learn lessons, make new friends, and also becoming a better writer. And joining journalism is doing just that for me. The class shows me a whole new world; the behind the scenes of a newspaper being created, different point of views and types of writing. Not only did journalism lead me to become a more advanced writer, but it also allowed me to discover photography. Being apart of the photography team allows me to be more involved in school events and find a new hobby of mine. When I'm not writing a new article or taking pictures of a sports game, you can find me on the courts playing basketball or on the stage playing the flute. I also love hanging out with friends and watching "Friends" on the weekends. In four years, I hope to become a better writer than I am today and graduate to leave to an amazing college.
