Kids in high school today are looking forward to having their first jobs. They want to gain the experience and the money that comes along with the jobs. Today, teens will see some of the best jobs teenagers can get as high school students seeking work.
“Right now, I am currently working at a flower shop where I help build bouquets of flowers and sell them to people who need the flowers. The job is really fun, as I get to do something that requires a lot of creativity and skill,” said junior Alex Cruz.
Cruz elaborated on how working at the flower shop is a great job for those with the creativity and skill required when making flower bouquets. He encourages those interested to apply for the job, as it’s a great experience for those interested in a first-time job. Many people in high school today work at a fast food restaurant, believing that’s the best job for a young teenager.
“I currently work at a fast food establishment, [and] it has been great so far. I have met a lot of great people at my work and continue to learn from them. At my job, I have developed better communication skills since I am talking to many more people. I encourage those to get a job at a fast food restaurant as it will be a great opportunity for teens,” said junior Edgar Bonola.
Bonola encourages working at a fast food restaurant, as it will benefit high schoolers as people. The job gives and gains much experience and adapts more skills while working at fast food restaurants. He continued by saying that working at fast food restaurants is great, as recently they had increased their minimum wage up to $20 per hour. Many people may not want to work in the food industry, but rather they want to work in a public space.
“I work at the movie theater; the place is great, it is not too difficult to work at and it allows me to meet many great people and gain a good amount of work experience. The benefits of working at the theater are the free movie tickets,” said junior Ivan Ortiz.
Ortiz elaborated on how working at the theater is great and encouraged many to get jobs as soon as possible. Ortiz believes everyone should start working instantly so they can get more experience and begin to make money.
