Mrs. Condelles says that her parents, Maria Esther and Eduardo Apodaca, are her greatest inspiration in becoming an educator, teaching internationally, and doing humanitarian work for ten years. According to Mrs. Condelles, this photo shows them on a trip in Costa Rica two months before they died in a plane crash on October 21, 1989 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras; her father was working there for United States Agency for International Development.
