About Us
Mission Statement
The Silvertip at Mission Hills High School seeks to educate students, faculty, and community members on events affecting Mission Hills High School. Our publication also gives students the opportunity to express themselves through a positive outlet that facilitates a healthy way to exercise their First Amendment right to freedom of speech and the press. The Silvertip newspaper is an open forum for student expression, as allowed by California Education Codes 48907 and 48950, committed to excellence in reporting, writing and photography. The thoughts and opinions published in these pages are the work of the journalism students and do not represent the position of Mission Hills High School, its teachers, administrators, or the San Marcos Unified School District.
