Cardinal Alliance preparing

CROSS COUNTRY 

  Cross country will be having a meet this Saturday, Oct. ninth for the 39th Annual Asics Southern Cal Invitation, which will be held at Guajome Park. The first women’s race will start at 8:00 a.m. and the first men’s race will begin at 8:20 a.m.

FIELD HOCKEY 

   Field hockey had a game last game versus Valley Center and lost seven to zero. Our field hockey team now has a record of one win and six losses. The next game will be this Thursday, Oct. seventh versus Mt. Carmel held here at 5:30 p.m.

FOOTBALL 

   Football had a game last Friday versus Oceanside, winning the game 31 to 13. With four wins and two losses, the next home game will be this Friday, Oct. eighth versus Rancho Bernardo High School. This will be our homecoming game, so to show your support for the football team dress in your class themes for the Growl Crowd section and get pumped for the halftime show.

GIRLS GOLF 

   This week our girls golf team will be going against San Marcos this Thursday, oct

. 16 at St.Marks at 3:30 p.m.

MARCHING BAND

   On Saturday night, our Cardinal Alliance held a pre-comp performance with Oceanside and San Marcos ahead of their competition on Oct. 16. Every Saturday thereafter, until November 13, they will be performing at competitions through the Western Band Association. They do not have a competition on Nov. sixth, but will have a 9-hour rehearsal. Let’s go band!

GIRLS TENNIS 

   Last week our girl’s tennis team played Fallbrook winning 12-6, making the new record five wins and five losses. Their next match is tomorrow, Oct. fifth versus San Pasqual at our own home court at 3:00 p.m.  

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL 

  

Girls volleyball played Canyon Hills last Friday winning two to zero. On Saturday, Oct. second our volleyball team played against Otay Ranch losing two to zero.  The updated record is now 12 losses and 10 wins.  Tuesday, Oct. fifth is the next home game versus Fallbrook at 6:00 p.m. Show up to the gym to cheer them on in the Growl Crowd.

BOYS WATER POLO 

   Last Friday, boys water polo had a game versus Classical Academy winning 14 to 12, making the new record eight wins and seven losses. Boys water polo has two games this week, one being tomorrow versus El Camino at El Corazon at 7:20 p.m., and another one this Wednesday, Oct. sixth versus Poway at 3:30 p.m. at El Corazon.
