“I definitely am my own person. But, if you look at everyone in the entire world, maybe you realize you aren’t as unique as you think. There are tons of people who like to bike, tons of people who like to bike and who love engineering, people who do this and this and this and have the same characteristics as me. Of course, they will never be exactly the same as me. It is nice to have something to relate to, though, generally speaking. It’s hard to say, because what I’d love to do in my future is to work on cybernetics, things of that nature, through like a software engineering type of lens. Anyway, it’s hard to say what I want to do in the future, but I’m not sure what I’ll want to be recognized for in the future. Like, do I want to be known as Alex the Cybernetics Guy, but it’s a title… It’s about luck as well, because it’s not like ‘I want to do this,’ and then leave that legacy. It takes time and luck to get there. You can control most of your luck, I guess, [through] preparation. It’s not like, ‘oh, I’m going to do this, it’s going to happen,’ it’s like, maybe there’s barriers and obstacles that are going to show up that you didn’t account for, and whether or not you’re prepared to deal with it adequately is going to be life.”
