Sports Recap: October 21, 2019

Coach Update: 

Last week, Coach Chris Hauser was announced Coach of the Week by the Los Angeles Chargers!

Football: 

On October 11th, the grizzlies went against Torrey Pines High School and won, (42-14). Last Friday (10/18) they also played against La Costa Canyon High School and won again, 14-10.

Marching Band: 

The band performed at Rancho Bueno Vista High School on Saturday (10/12) against Vista High School. They scored 74.60, ranking second. On Saturday (10/19), they performed against Chino Hills High School, Upland High School, and Ranch Verde High School at River Side City College. They placed fourth with 75.30.

Cross Country: 

The team attended an invitational at Guajome Park on October 12th. Their next meet will be two weeks on October 26th at Mt. San Antonio.

Girls Tennis: 

The girls faced San Marcos High School this week on Tuesday (10/15) in a home game. This was their last game before CIFs.

Field Hockey: 

This Wednesday (10/15), the team played against La Costa Canyon High School and sadly lost, 3-0. Their next game will be on October 23rd against Canyon Crest Academy.

Boys Water Polo: 

On Thursday, October 16th, the boys won an away conference game against Torrey Pines, 5-2. They also attended the San Diego Open on the 17th. Their next game will be on October 23rd against Canyon Crest at Palomar.

Girls Golf: 

The team played in a tournament on the October 15th and 17th against Torrey Pines, La Costa Canyon, Canyon Crest, San Marcos, and Carlsbad. Unfortunately, the girls did not place in the top three. On October 22nd they are playing against Canyon Crest Academy.

Girls Volleyball: 

On October 15th, the team against Carlsbad High School and lost, 3-0. The next day (10/16), they played against Canyon Crest Academy, and unfortunately lost, 3-0. Their next game will be against Torrey Pines on Wednesday (10/23).
