Abigail Patterson dances her way through high school and beyond
June 12, 2019
While her meek disposition may lead you to believe that Abigail (Abby) Patterson is an under-the-radar kind of gal, she is never afraid to steal the show. Patterson is admired by close friends, not only for her ‘porcelain doll’ appearance, but also for her unique sense of fashion, charm, and incredible talent in the world of dance.
“Abby is amazing at everything and revolves herself around her own quiet creativity. Without a sense of doubt, she has always been readily available to help with whatever needs to be done for the past four years in the dance program,” said Mrs. Almanza, the VAPA dance teacher.
In addition to her natural gift in the world of rond de jambes and barrel turns, Patterson has worked diligently through a hectic schedule with multiple AP classes, dance practices, and personal activities (which may or may not involve making TikTok videos) to eventually become the president of Danz de Artes club, participate in NHS, and obtain a 4.25 GPA overall. She is now set on pirouetting into her future as an Palomar College comet.
“I want to major in Biology with a focus on cellular biology. I have always loved science, and when I took Honors Biology freshman year, I was like ‘Wow, Mr. Butler is so funny. I just have to get go on his wall of fives.’ So I took AP Bio, and I ended up loving it,” Patterson said.
Now all warmed up, catalytic Patterson looks forward to leaping away from Mission Hills High School towards her new role as a biology goddess.
