Morales looks forward to the years leading up to his medical career

With great confidence, Victor Morales, varsity soccer super star, aims and shoots for the goal! Morales has participated in the varsity soccer team as a center defensive midfielder for all four of his years at Mission Hills High School and he cherishes every single moment.

“My favorite high school memory is playing in the CIF Final this school year. The atmosphere is what made it memorable for me, because we played under the myriads of lights and it was our last chance to leave a legacy for our team,” Morales said.

Though his high school life revolves around soccer, Morales managed to dribble seven AP classes, thus leading him to gain the AP Scholars with Distinction award, an overall GPA of 4.43, and becoming a Questbridge Finalist. In the classroom, two of his major influences continue to be Mr. Hackbarth, his soccer coach, and Mr. Butler, who inspired Morales to study neuroscience in college through his awe-inspiring lectures.

Morales plans to attend UC Los Angeles and major in neuroscience this upcoming fall. He is looking forward to attending this top public university, because it has a medical center right next door, which complements perfectly with Morales’ intentions to pursue medical school beyond his time as a Bruin.
